Kody's 17th B-day

I decided to add some pictures in tribute to Kody's 17 years alive, since he is the youngest and he is almost grown up.

Canning Applesauce

Last Friday, November 7th, I was lucky enough to have the day off, so I set out on a canning journey with my mom and sisters. Katie, Kris, and Max all came to town the night before, so they were there to partake in the fun. Picture the scene: 6 boxes of apples, 5 grandchildren under the age of 5, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 1 mom on a mission to make applesauce for the first time. Well, Kris and Kody didn't help and my mom has made applesauce before, but it sounded good. We cut, cooked, separated, scooped, boiled and waited. Nine hours later we made it! It was a great time and I am proud of what we did. It was a ton of fun and a great day spent with my family! Thanks girls!!

Kade's B-day

My nephew Kade turned 5 on Thursday, Oct. 30th. My sister Kiley had cake and ice cream and presents for everyone that night. LJ and I were late because I was putting on the Halloween Dance at school, but it was still a good time. Kade is getting so big and is very smart. Here he is with his cake! I also got the priviledge of helping Kiley with his friend party today. It was quite the adventure watching nine 5 year olds run around her house, but it was still fun! Thanks for letting me come! Happy Birthday Kade!

Carving Pumpkins

Wednesday, Oct. 29th we carved pumpkins at Rick and Kellie's house. It was a grand event. Kellie made chili and soup bowls which were great! My nephew Brenton had a great time carving his with a butter knife (and he didn't do that bad of a job). I am not real fond of carving pumpkins because it makes me painfully aware of just how bad my artistic skills really are, so I watch and take pictures and enjoy looking at everyone else's designs. Happy Halloween!!!
