I finished my Masters in May. At the end of our program, our cohort promised to stay in touch and get together once a month. Well...there is a group of us who faithfully still see each other frequently. Debbie's mom has a cabin in Donnelly about two miles past Tamarack. It is more of a house than a cabin and it is beautiful! We've been up there quite a few times and I love it. It is so relaxing! We eat, watch movies, read books, go for walks, and do puzzles. I could not have asked for a more relaxing weekend. Thanks Debbie for letting us go up there once again!!

They shot Bambi
Last weekend LJ's dad and brothers (Jayson and Jake) went hunting yet again in an attempt to be the first Overall brother to kill an elk or deer. Jake missed a nice Whitetail Buck and rather than come emptyhanded yet again and risk the wrath of his wife not allowing him to go hunting again, he shot and killed a little doe. They estimate it to be about two and half years old. While I firmly believe this is way too young of an animal to kill, congratulations boys on finally becoming the first successful Overall Family Boys to hunt and kill a deer!
Kori's B-day
Happy 26th Birthday to my sister Kori! We celebrated last Saturday at Mom and Dad's house. We were supposed to go to the pumpkin patch, but it was cold, windy, SNOWY, etc. Not pumpkin picking weather! Mom made a great dinner and we hung out and sang. It is fun to be together with the family, but we MISSED YOU- Katie, Clint, Max, and Kris!!

Elk City Sept 19th
I am way late with this post, but it happens! LJ and I went to Elk City the weekend of Sept. 19th with Jayson, Anita, their kids, Rick, and Kellie. The weather was super nice! Friday we went for a long ride, which we haven't really done all summer and it was super fun. We went on a trail that is only for experts, filled with switch backs, tight turns, but really cool trees and scenery. It was really fun. The purpose of the weekend was to kick off LJ and Jayson's 10 day hunting trip so we spent a lot of time scouting out hunting locations and looking for the Elk. I came home Sunday with Rick, Kellie, Anita and the kids and the boys stayed. Once again the Elk eluded them, but there is still time yet!! We know you can do it!!

On our ride, Kellie decided to gun it over the "GIANT HILL" and she ended up rolling her machine. Nothing was hurt except her pride, and it was pretty funny to watch. Here she is laying on the ground next to her machine (which wasn't hurt either). :)
