More Elk City
Memorial weekend was spent in Elk City with LJ's family. His parents own some land up there, that is slowly being converted into civilization. It rained a little, but we still had tons of fun!!
Elk City
We went four-wheeling and found these people walking to find help, so we went back into the mountains with them to free their high-centered four wheeler. My strong Kodiak with its handy wench did the trick just fine.

Great Potato
I DID IT!! This last weekend (May 17th) I ran in the Great Potato Race. I ran the 10K (6.2miles) along with my friend Kacey and her sister Sarah. I have never run a competitive race before and I was really nervous, but it was great. I ran it in an hour and 6 minutes which translate to 10:40 miles!!! I was so excited! Next up is the Sawtooth Relay in June- we shall see if I can conquer that. :)

If you want to see pictures of me running, click on the link below and type in my last name. The pictures are terrible (I hope I really don't look that bad when I run!), but check it out.

Moving the hot tub
LJ's Uncle wanted to get rid of their hot tub, so LJ decided that we needed it. So Saturday, LJ, his dad, and brothers moved it to our backyard. It was quite the project! 2 hours later, with our gates removed, dogs locked in the garage, a trip to Tate's Rents, and sore muscles, the hot tub met the patio. We'll see how it works out!
Race for the Cure
Saturday, May 10th I participated in the Race for the Cure- a 5k walk and run to bring awareness about breast cancer. It was my first race ever and I had tons of fun. Remember ladies to get youy yearly mammograms and check yourself!!
Mom's B-day
This weekend we celebrated my mom's 50th B-day and Mother's Day. We went to dinner, played Mom Pictionary, and watched a movie of her life I made. What a great time!! Happy Birthday Mom! Thanks for all you have done!! We love you!!!
Team Day
We had team day at school last week. We took our students, went to the park, had a barbecue and played Fear Factor. One event was to eat a banana and drink a 7-up as fast as you can. I had to do it first in front of all of my students. It took me only 53 seconds- better than all of my students except 2!! How many History teachers can do that?
